Margate Christmas Fayre 2024

The Guildcrest girls were out in full force a few weeks ago as they set up on Margate High Street outside the Salvation Army to meet and greet all the locals to get everyone in the Christmas Spirit.

Under their canopy to protect them from the elements, they came armed with a Christmas Tree and over 600 boxes of chocolates, all house shaped of course; and hundreds of cotton tote shopping bags to give away to spread the Christmas joy!

They met so many local’s and loved getting to know everyone, including the local landlords and ladies as they bought a tipple or two to stay warm. They were made to feel so welcome by all the local businesses and trades. They ventured around all of the markets and were overwhelmed by how talented the teenage marketeers were and took the opportunity to buy presents for all their friends and family.

As the day when on, they were thrilled to have visits from the organisers of this great event, the Mayor of Margate Jack Packman and his wonderful side kick the Mayoress of Margate Karen Brinkman, and jumped at the chance to grab a selfie with them both.

The selfies didn’t stop there (or should I say ‘Elfies) as when the giant Elf of the Shelf walked past this was an opportunity that couldn’t be missed!

To end off the day, the girls took to the dance floor, otherwise known as the top of the high street, to enjoy the talented Ozzie and the Uglies finale and danced into tea time, with all the locals before setting down for the night.

It was a great event and the girls really rocked around the Christmas Tree, along with sponsoring the event to fund all the Christmas Tree’s positioned up and down the High Street and Old Town!

Merry Christmas from all the team at Guildcrest Estates!
