Thanet’s Independents Day at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre.

At Guildcrest Estates, we’re always proud to support our local community, and this weekend we were delighted to take part in Thanet’s Independents Day at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre. The event was a fantastic celebration of the brilliant independent businesses in our area, bringing people together to shop local, discover hidden gems, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.

This year’s event was about more than just supporting independents, it was also about supporting wellbeing. Funds were raised for East Kent Mind, a charity doing incredible work to promote positive mental health and provide vital support for people in our community. We brought our golden sleigh along and even had our well behaved Elf on hand to welcome shoppers to take a ’Elfie’.

We’re especially excited to share that the day also shone a spotlight on the upcoming Mental Elf Run, which takes place 30th November. The event is a fun, festive run that combines exercise, laughter, and community spirit, all while raising money for mental health services. Whether you’re taking part in fancy dress, walking with friends and family, or cheering from the side line, it’s a brilliant way to support a cause that touches so many lives.

At Guildcrest Estates, we believe in building strong, supportive communities, and events like these show just how powerful local people and businesses can be when they come together.

We’ll be sharing more updates on the Mental Elf Run as November approaches, so keep an eye on our channels. You can book tickets for the run by using the link here. https://www.tickettailor.com/events/mindinbexleyandeastkent/1510079

We would love you to share your photo’s of the day and especially photo’s in our golden sleigh! So please do tag us in!

(A few thank you’s Karen Brinkman for arranging a great event. Premier Signs for supplying the backdrop to our Sleigh. Jason, Elliot, Stuart, Steve & Ayrton for all your lifting & shifting)
