Moving in checklist

1.Confirm the date with Guildcrest
First things first, you’ll need to get your moving date officially confirmed by Guildcrest Estates.

2. Tell your Utility Suppliers you’re moving
Let all of your utility suppliers know that you’re planning to move out – electricity, gas, phone and broadband suppliers will all need to know when you’re leaving the property. Finally, take a final meter reading in your property and pass them on to the right suppliers. Also organise suppliers for your new property.

3. Organise a cleaner for your property
Make sure you leave your old property spick-and-span with a thorough deep clean before you leave. If you dont have time or dont fancy the job yourself there are plenty of great cleaning agencies that offer a moving out cleaning service.

4. Remember lots of boxes and tape!
When it comes to removals, it depends on your budget and the size of your property. If cost is a large factor, it’ll probably be cheaper to rent a van and get a few friends to help. However, if you want to take the pressure off yourself then it would be worth paying a removal company who can do it all for you. Including packing up and unpacking!

5. Remember essentials on the day!
Don’t forget to keep your kettle handy for those vital moving day refreshments and temporary furniture to tide you over until you sort your permanent items.
