Guildcrest Estates Celebrates Inspirational Individuals at the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards 2026

Our Managing Director, Sarah Huckstep, and Operations Director, Natalie Wyborn, were honoured to be invited by Karen Brinkman to attend this wonderful event and had the privilege of presenting awards to some truly deserving winners.
Sarah had the pleasure of presenting awards to Ace Brown from Stagecoach and Sarah Wackett from the NHS, recognising their outstanding contributions to supporting mental health and wellbeing.
Natalie was equally honoured to present awards to Tony Gander from Kent Fire and Rescue Service, recognising his dedicated work supporting veterans, and Wilderness to Wonderland in Margate, celebrating the positive impact they are making within their community.
The evening was not only about recognising remarkable achievements but also an opportunity to meet some truly inspirational people.
We were fortunate to be seated alongside the wonderful Nicola Everett, formerly a familiar voice as a KMFM newsreader, who now works with Abigail’s Footsteps, a charity providing vital support to families affected by baby loss.
We were also delighted to have Samantha Baines joining us at our table. Samantha is an award-winning comedian, author, actor and passionate advocate for disability awareness and the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. It was a real pleasure to spend the evening in such inspiring company.
The awards were a powerful reminder of the importance of mental health awareness, kindness and community support, and of the extraordinary difference individuals and organisations can make to the lives of others.
At Guildcrest Estates, we believe strongly in supporting the communities in which we live and work, and we are incredibly proud to play a small part in recognising those who dedicate their time and energy to helping others.
Our support for mental health continues this November!
We are also delighted to be sponsoring the Mental Elf Run in Canterbury, raising awareness and vital funds for East Kent Mind.
Taking place on Sunday 29th November 2026, the festive 5K event starts at 10am and promises to be a fantastic opportunity for the local community to come together, have some fun and support a wonderful cause.
Whether you’re a keen runner, prefer a gentle jog or simply fancy a festive walk, we’d love to encourage as many people as possible to get involved.
